Surviving Freedom- "The book blurb was right on the money. How the author interacted the characters made you feel as if you were right there. I would also love to hear CK Rivers talk in person."

Review message: Sara's awakening is a story about a young adult having sex for the first time and admitting the experience wasn't mind-blowing. As this can be true for so many, it's refreshing the author chose this realistic outcome for Sara's first. This story is written in third person present tense. This style is a new reading format for me and I stumbled in the beginning. But once I realized how the POV was written, it was easy to read Sara's POV while following her actions. The author asked for critiques to help with her writing. Cons: *During the conversation between Sara her sister and her dad, I couldn't tell which character was speaking until the end of the sentence. *Missing S...(Two day later) should read (two days later) *When they arrive at the party and during the pool scene the story felt rushed. Pros: *Well written with no major errors. * The Author introduced me to a new reading format that I found interesting. *The author showed that Sara was attracted to Officer Ben Brown but I would have liked more of the emotions Sara was feeling leading up to the moment he lifts her out of the pool. Did she have any expectations about the first time? Did she have expectations abut Officer Brown? I put this as a pro not con because any time a short story, which is part of a larger story leaves me wanting more, it's a pro. Curiosity: The Author does a good job showing Sara is proper, practical, and matter of fact like, except when it comes to her friend Awmee. This makes me wonder, if Sara handled her first time with good looking Office Brown so calmly, what kind of guy is it going to take to make her lose her heart? Review by Bren Liato
